Polysorbate 80 - Emulsifier & Surfactant - Various Sizes

Polysorbate 80 is primarily used as an emulsifier or surfactant in skin care products.

It has a golden-yellow colour and a neutral scent. It’s most commonly used in products with ingredients that won’t otherwise disperse or blend easily in water, hence why it works so well in bath bombs, allowing mica powder to disperse easily into your mixture, creating a more even colour distribution.

In additional to this, any oils present in your bath bomb won’t sit at the top of the bath water (and it won’t then stick to the sides of the tub, or to your skin) but will mix with the water, so you get more benefit from the oils on the skin.
